Personally, I hold Indie Folk near and dear to my heart. Indie music as a whole is my "favorite" type of music, but the folk subgenre was the first thing that caught my eye when I began separating myself from the norm of being a Top 40 loving middle schooler. Indie folk has the types of melodies that give me those cozy-warm feels, but can take a turn and give you the weepies. It's an overall fantastic subgenre. I would love to hear your thoughts on Indie Folk in the comments!

P.S. - a big thank you goes out to a reader, Sami Soutar, who requested an Indie Folk playlist. You should all check out her music here: Sami Soutar Music . Enjoy!!
