This week I focused on the extraordinarily jam-worthy pop punk songs of the aughts. Bands like New Found Glory, Fountains of Wayne, and Bowling for Soup made the list (hence the title). Pop punk is still a great genre today, but personally, I think it peaked during the aughts. The pop punk movement made themselves very prevalent by ingraining the lyrics of 1985 into every man, woman, and child's brain, along with torturing every girl named Stacy (and their moms) for the duration of their middle/high school career.  What pop punk song did you jam to during the aughts? ... and if I have any readers named Stacy, does your mom "got it goin' on"? Tell me all about it in the comments below!
